“Dito dito sa puso ko
Pag-ibig ko'y hindi na maglalaho
Huwag sanang mag-alala sinta
Damdamin ko'y hindi na magbabago”
That's the lyrics of the main theme song for the DITO campaign. This song is an original piece of Filipino music by Ogie Alcasid, released in 1989. It's lovely to hear this music again, mainly because it highlights DITO Telecommunity's impressive performance.
"Dito sa puso ko" translates to "here in my heart." This is fitting, as DITO is now beloved as one of the top-rated and number-one mobile networks in the Philippines, a title awarded by Ookla, the global leader in network intelligence and connectivity insights.
DITO is now three years old. When their SIM card was launched, I purchased a set from an online shopping app. However, after the initial launch, there were certain restrictions on which phones the SIM would work with and how to set up the APN. I received two new DITO SIMs from a PR representative to promote the telecom company, but those SIMs have remained unused in my drawer since 2021 and 2022, the early years of DITO.
Fast-forward three years, and DITO now operates on all smartphones and is the number one mobile network in the Philippines.
To celebrate this achievement, they enlisted celebrity power couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes to lead the campaign for DITO's "Dito sa Puso ko." I was thrilled when I heard a rumor that the DongYan couple would be present at the event.
I abandoned my food and drink at the table and rushed to the press conference venue. I arrived late that day, but just in time for the launch of DongYan.
There are lots of good news that was shared to us by DITO here are some snippets of their quotes.
"Our newest campaign isn't just about showcasing our products and services; it's about celebrating the mutual love that we have with our millions of DITOzens. Galing na mismo sa mga subscribers namin, as evidenced by the Ookla Rated #1 Mobile Network award, napusuan na talaga nila ang DITO. Truly grateful that we are now number one in their hearts and minds," said Evelyn Jimenez, DITO Chief Revenue Officer-Consumer.
"Launching this campaign with Dingdong and Marian, the newest members of the DITO family, is a pivotal move to encourage more Filipinos to experience our next-generation technology. As we all know, Dingdong and Marian are not just big names in the Philippine entertainment industry; they are icons that inspire positive change and growth across diverse communities. Being the digital stars of DITO signifies not just a collaboration but a sweeping movement across the country—a shared vision of empowering and connecting more Filipinos nationwide," said Jasper Evangelist, DITO Brand and Marketing Director.
“At the outset, breaking into the market was a really a daunting challenge, specially amidst the long-standing duopoly. We needed to fight for our place on the table and establish who we are as a telco brand and what we really value as a company. Armed with a customer-centric mentality and a passion to make a difference , DITO thrived and flourished. We only started with thousands of subscribers, and now, after three years, we have millions of DITOzens who love and trust our brand and our products. And because of that, we are really grateful.
As we embrace this achievement with grateful hearts, we also acknowledge that this is just the beginning of our journey. Moving forward, we remain steadfast in our commitment to provide, consistent customer satisfaction, value-driven products, and inclusive next-generation technology for the Filipino people," - Evelyn Jimenez, DITO Chief Revenue Officer-Consumer.
Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes - now as DITO endorsers. They shared to us that they are happy with the internet speed that delivers for their family, and since they are always online, the DITO mobile network connection is a big help for their family’s communication and entertainment use at home.
Marian Rivera shared that you no longer need to turn off the mobile network connection when using it at home. Because it's always connected and she was surprised that even at work or at taping, she noticed that the connection is still on and connected using DITO’s mobile network.
Dingdong Dantes shared that if her wife Marian is using the DITO mobile network connection at home, Dindong reveals that he is satisfied with the connectivity because he uses it while from work. He uses video calls and instead of sms or phone calls, because he wants to see the beautiful face of his wife Marian Rivera everyday and also the DITO connectivity is good service to connect and do video calls with their kids Zia and Sixto.
“Survey says!! DITO is the number 1 mobile network in the Philippines” that's according to Dindong Dantes using the Family Feud game show “survey says”. Dindong is the main host of Family Feud Philippines game show on TV.
