Eating and celebrating with friends and family - these would probably be the top two answers if one were to ask "What do Filipinos love to do?"
Supersam, the young but fast growing casual dining restaurant that started in Quezon City, knows this much and thus has made it their mission to provide a super dining experience to the Filipinos - one that consists of great food and drinks, superb service and a chill space where friends and families can create fond memories together and hopefully, come back for more.
When it comes to celebrations, Supersam also knows how much Filipinos love music, and so Supersam Live Sessions was born, these are weekends that feature the local music industry's biggest names in intimate live performances. All the closest things to the Filipinos' heart are all in one place. No wonder Supersam has quickly established itself as one of the city's food and lifestyle destinations.
Super Food & Drinks
Supersam describes itself as a homegrown restaurant concept serving international cuisines infused with the familiar Filipino flare and flavors. "Think of it as East-meets-West," said Gerry Sy, he is one of the four owners of the famed restaurant. His wife, Jinky, as well as another couple, Arnold and Sharon Carlos are his co-owners. As a restaurant that attracts families and groups of friends, their menu is appropriately extensive. There's something for everybody and portions are big. "We have burgers, pasta, fried chicken, sandwiches, Filipino dishes and milkshakes. We also have a craft bar that serves assorted coffee, liquor, draft beer and wine," he enumerated.
If overwhelmed by the choices, opt for their best selling chori burger. This chorizo burger is a flavorful combination of ground chorizo and pork patty, sunny side-up egg, refreshing coleslaw and melted American cheddar. Other crowd favorites include angus salpicao and crispy pork binagoongan. As for drinks, they recommend their ube milkshake. A true example of an international and local fusion.
Diners can also sign up for the Supersamahan membership card to avail of the 10-20% off on food and drinks (some terms and conditions apply).
Super Team
Did you know that Supersam is short for "Supersamahan" from the Filipino core value of "pakikisama”? It not only speaks of the "samahan" of the restaurant's diners which consists of families and friends - this is also reflected within the restaurant's team members. It's a tight knit group, working together to ensure that great food is paired with great service. Prompt and friendly, the restaurant's staff are there to ensure that customers' needs are paid attention to so they can have the super dining experience the restaurant is known for.
The Super Team also has their own inspiring origin story. During the pandemic lockdown in 2020, a lot of restaurant workers lost their jobs. A few displaced chefs approached Gerry, Jinky, Arnold and Sharon and asked if they could help. Realizing the demand for food deliveries, the entrepreneurs did not hesitate to give them a job and immediately put their commissary into operations. The business was such a success that a year later, SuperSam opened the doors to a full service casual dining restaurant in Scout Tobias.
Super Ambience
Bright, colorful interiors with Instagrammable worthy, fun murals, high ceilings, glass walls with lots of greens - these are the features of Supersam's interiors that all help create that let-your-hair-down vibe for its diners. The emphasis is on relaxation. The ambience is warm and welcoming. The perfect setting for a family get together, a barkada night out or a group of officemates looking for the perfect place to eat and take a break.
Weekends are super fun as the restaurant hosts its Supersam Live Sessions featuring live music performances from well-loved OPM artists.
With all these, the restaurant has also become the perfect venue for corporate events, meetings and private parties.
Super Location
IT veterans turned restaurant owners Gerry, Jinky and Arnold and Sharon always looked forward to bringing Supersam closer to more Filipinos.
